Meg Beamish PotterySt Werburghs Community Centre
Simple and dynamic tableware using locally sourced materials including clays from around Bristol.
Meg Beamish is a potter working and living in Bristol, UK. She produces simple tableware alongside larger more decorative pots. Use of slips and oxides are dynamic and purposeful and are often used to highlight the playful nature and movement of the creative process. Materials such as local sands and clays are ones which Meg uses to create a one-to-one link between the pieces she makes and the landscapes from which they originate. All of Meg’s pots contain clays from the surrounding areas, whether it is from the river Frome which runs through the city, or from the river Trim in Southmead.
