Sophy creates functional stoneware ceramics using a combination of wheel throwing and handbuilding. Her work is inspired by the simplicity of Scandinavian design and the quiet beauty of Japanese ceramics. She is drawn to uncomplicated forms that allow line, colour, and glaze texture to take centre stage. Her aim is to make everyday objects that bring a sense of calm and grounding to daily life.
