St Werburghs Art Trail – Terms & Conditions for Artists
1. Booking & Participation
- Participation is confirmed only upon completion of registration and payment (if applicable)
- Spaces may be limited and allocated on a first-come basis
- St Werburghs Art Trail is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful and non-discriminatory environment for all participants, visitors and volunteers. We welcome artists from diverse backgrounds, identities and experiences.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse or withdraw participation, without refund where appropriate, for artwork, behaviour or displays that promote hate, discrimination, harassment, violence, extremism, or content deemed offensive, unsafe or inconsistent with the values of the Art Trail.
2. Fees
- Participation fees (if applicable) are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by organisers
3. Artist Responsibilities
Artists agree to:
- Provide accurate information for marketing and listings
- Be present during agreed opening times (or arrange cover)
- Maintain a safe and welcoming space for visitors
4. Health & Safety
Artists must:
- Ensure no trip hazards or unsafe conditions
- Secure all displays properly
- Take reasonable precautions for visitor safety
5. Cancellations
- If an artist cancels, fees may not be refunded
- Organisers reserve the right to remove participants who do not comply with guidelines
6. Promotion & Marketing
By participating, artists agree that:
- Images of their work may be used for promotional purposes
- Their display name and indicated details will appear in trail materials (maps, website, social media)
7. Liability Disclaimer
- Participation is at the artist’s own risk
- The organisers are not responsible for:
- Personal injury
- Loss or damage to artwork or property
8. Code of Conduct
St Werburghs Art Trail is built on collaboration, creativity and mutual respect. All participants, volunteers, venue hosts and visitors are expected to contribute to a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment.
Participants agree to:
- Treat fellow artists, organisers, volunteers, venue hosts and visitors with courtesy and respect.
- Respect private homes, studios, community spaces and venues taking part in the trail.
- Handle artwork, displays and equipment belonging to others with care.
- Communicate professionally and constructively, including in person and online.
- Avoid behaviour that is discriminatory, abusive, intimidating, harassing or disruptive.
- Respect the time, effort and artistic work of others, including differences in artistic style, background and experience.
- Follow reasonable health, safety and venue-specific guidance provided by organisers or hosts
