About the Arts Trail
What is the St Werburghs Arts Trail?
The St Werburghs Arts Trail is a community celebration of creativity, bringing together local artists, makers, performers and venues across St Werburghs and surrounding areas. Visitors can explore a wide variety of artwork, crafts, workshops and creative spaces over the Arts Trail weekend.
When does the Arts Trail take place?
The Arts Trail will take place over a weekend 3-4th October 2026.
Who organises the Arts Trail?
The Arts Trail is organised by a volunteer committee supported by artists, venues and members of the local community.
Can I volunteer to help?
Yes. Volunteers are always welcome to help with promotion, venue coordination, stewarding, logistics, leaflet distribution, event setup, social media, administration, community outreach.
Taking Part as an Artist
Can anyone take part?
Yes. We welcome artists, makers, crafters, performers and creatives of all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not need to be a professional artist to participate.

How do I register to take part?
Artists can register by completing the online registration form available on the St Werburghs Arts Trail website and paying the applicable registration fee.
What is the registration fee?
Registration fees vary depending on the type of participation and venue arrangements. Full details will be provided on the registration form.
I have registered — what happens next?
Once registration closes, artists will receive further information about venue allocation, promotional materials, important dates, setup guidance and event communications.
Do I need to live in St Werburghs to participate?
No. Artists from outside St Werburghs are welcome to take part.
Do I need to find my own venue?
Not necessarily. Community venues may be available for artists who do not have their own exhibition space. During registration, artists can indicate venue preferences, though allocation cannot always be guaranteed due to limited capacity. Information on some of the venues can be found here.
I would like to offer my home or premises as a venue.
Thank you — community venues are an important part of the Arts Trail. Please indicate this in the registration form or contact the organisers with details about your space.

Please contact the organisers and we can confirm whether your venue falls within the trail boundary.
Can I exhibit in a business, café or shop?
Yes, where suitable arrangements have been agreed with the venue owner
I share a studio or venue with other artists. Do we each need to register separately?
Yes. Each artist who wishes to have their own profile in the brochure, website or promotional materials must register individually.
How many artists can exhibit at one venue?
There is no fixed limit, provided the venue can safely and comfortably accommodate the artists and visitors.
What should I include in my artist profile?
Your profile should include: A short artist statement, Images of your work, Contact details (where applicable) , Social media or website links (optional). Further guidance will be provided during registration.
I have joined but cannot see my profile on the website.
Profiles may take a little time to appear after submission. If your profile is still missing after a few days, please contact the organisers.
How do I update my profile?
Any post-registration changes need to be communicated via email.
What should I expect as an exhibiting artist?
Artists are responsible for: setting up and taking down their work, staffing or stewarding their venue where required, clearly pricing work, handling sales directly, ensuring work is safely displayed
What insurance do artists need?
Artists are responsible for arranging any insurance they require, including public liability insurance where appropriate. The Arts Trail organisers cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, injury or damage relating to uninsured participants or artworks.
If I participate in the Arts Trail, am I required to help?
Artists are encouraged to help promote the Arts Trail by: sharing information on social media, displaying posters and flyers, distributing brochures, inviting friends and networks, supporting community engagement during the event
