Communal Venues Information
St Werburghs Community Centre
The Community Centre is a true hub of St Werburghs. Unlike in previous Arts Trail years, a number of regular bookings mean we won’t be able to offer the same rooms across both days of the Trail weekend. Artists exhibiting at the Community Centre will therefore need to pack up on Saturday evening and re-set on Sunday morning.
There may be an option to move fully set-up tables into another room overnight, but this will need to be confirmed closer to the Trail weekend. Below are a few photos of the different spaces.
St Werburghs Primary School
This is a new venue for the Trail. The school features the spacious and light-filled Silver Birch Hall, where tables can remain set up overnight. Access to the hall is via Mogg Street.
Penfield Court
This is a new venue for the Trail, located within a retirement housing community on the main Trail route along Mina Road, next to the Miners Arms pub.
Penfield Court offers a spacious and light-filled hall with French doors opening onto a garden, as well as a small kitchenette where you can make yourself a tea or coffee.
St Werburghs City Farm Community Building
The Community Building is a larger earthy and clean space that sits next to the Farm office and café. There is a sink, kettle and worktop space for you to bring in your own refreshments/food.
Purple Patch
A small farm growing vegetables and fruit, uniquely positioned in the depths of Ashley Vale. Through the second tunnel in St Werburghs, the area is also known as Boiling Wells.
As an arts trail venue in previous years, we are pleased to be able to offer this unique space once more. It will add interest and colour to any creative exhibit,lending itself well to running a workshop. Purple Patch will be offering their barn and a small outside space where a gazebo can be erected, for the weekend. There is also a pop-up café outside.
